We found this place via Yelp. The restaurant is a bit small but don't let that deceive you. The food packs lots of flavor. You have the option of full spicy or half spicy. You won't be disappointed. Definitely would visit again.

This restaurant has delicious food. I wish I took a photo before I got started. Very friendly staff, too.

What a cracking little find this is! Busy at 6.15pm might have something to do with their recent review in The Sunday Times by my fave food writer, Marina O'Loughlin. She's given it her stamp of approval and that was enough to get me there. And I'm glad I did. Authenticity oozes out of every dish. Individual flavours of mint, lime, kaffir and Thai basil were all distinguishable and not just one big mash up in your mouth. Every dish beautifully balanced. This is accomplished cooking and would normally carry a heftier price tag. Prawn curry and duck curry ( sorry, the Thai names are too hard to remember let alone write) brought with them little moments of foodie bliss when you just momentarily close your eyes, then look down at your bowl, look up at your dining partner, sigh and then exclaim, 'oh wow, that's so good' Might need to work my way through their whole menu so return trips are in the cards. King's Cross has a lot to offer these days and Supawan is just another string to its bow

This a great little spot if your ever down the Kings Cross area. I've walked passed this loads of times when going to one of my favourite pizza places which I've previously reviewed on this app (Gran Sosa) and totally dismissed this.it was my colleagues who bought me here for some birthday lunch and to my surprise, it looked great inside. The hospitality was great and the staff were all cheery and smiling. Food wise the chef came out to confirm that only the chicken was halal and cooked separately from non halal dishes. For some reason I had a bit of doubt given that they got no documentation of it actually being halal so ended up ordering the vegetable options. Their veggie spring rolls were one of the best ones I've tried. The tamarind sauce with peanuts was great. The chilly sauce weren't hot at all but tasted really good. I went for the veggie Pad Thai which had tofu. It was presented very well and was pretty good. I also got the Green Curry (available in chicken, beef or prawn). I had the chicken and really enjoyed that. Price wise it's reasonable. Will defiantly return. I would only urge the owner to double check that the food is halal so that they can get the relevant certificate. That'll draw much more Muslim customers which surround the area
